I bought my first card in two years. It's a pre-Chrome "chrome" card from Comic Images. It's basically a paper card that's been laminated with foil but something that wasn't exactly common in 1992.

Ignore the grade, going to set it free soon enough. I fucking love JWE cards. 😍

I've never been a fan of custom cards but once AI was brought into the mix, they become MUCH WORSE.

Today I learned that the @koolaid Man has trading cards going back to the 60s, in the 80s, and some custom modern cards featuring all sorts of foil technology.
