Wes Streeting has been made Defence Secretary.
In his released correspondence with Peter Mandelson, he said:
“Israel is committing war crimes before our eyes.”
Journalists should ask him:
1) Does he stand by that?
2) What legal obligations does the UK therefore have?
Here, the new Foreign Secretary rightly says Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is “illegal”.
He says no such thing about Israel’s genocide.
Burnham has said it’ll be the courts who will decide on war crimes in Gaza.
Yet by stating that Russia’s war is illegal, Miliband accidentally exposes the absurdity of that argument.
He hasn’t waited for the courts to decide there!
He speaks of the “terrible suffering” of Gaza, without naming the perpetrator - Israel.
No sign of any shift in government policy here.
David Lammy refused to condemn Israel's war crimes.
He claimed Israeli babies were raped on 7th October - a vile lie which helped legitimise genocide.
He portrayed a genocidal assault as 'self-defence' - and continued to arm it.
Good riddance.
You leave Downing Street with the blood of tens of thousands of Palestinians on your hands.
History will remember you as a war criminal for your role in the genocide in Gaza.
Our movement will never forget.
Good riddance.
⚽️As the world gears up for the football world cup final, Israel has just killed another Palestinian footballer: 17 year old Fadi al-Naasan was shot during an attack by Israeli settlers on his village in the West Bank. Israel spares no one in its genocidal war on Palestinians.
We are repeatedly told that the Prime Minister has "rebuilt Britain's reputation" on the world stage.
Imagine hearing that as a Palestinian who has watched their friends and family die in Gaza.
Britain has been complicit in genocide. That is not a reputation to be proud of.
Israel is planning to colonise Gaza - and drive its survivors out.
That was always its plan - and that's what the latest news underlines.
The so-called 'Board of Peace' has abandoned its reconstruction blueprint, and Israel has announced three illegal settlements.
We must not forget the people of Lebanon.
4,000 people killed since March. 1.2 million forced from their homes. Their humanity deserves more than deafening silence.
Israel must be held accountable for its war crimes, alongside all those who have been shamefully complicit.
We need actions, not words, on the genocide in Gaza.
End all military cooperation with Israel, impose sanctions, and establish a public inquiry into British complicity, now.
50% of British voters think that Israel is committing genocide.
Just 17% disagree.
55% think the UK should no longer consider Israel an ally.
15% think the UK should be an ally of Israel.
That's the latest YouGov polling.
Support for Israel is a fringe position in Britain.
❗️Keir Starmer authorised hundreds of spy flights for Israeli intelligence during its genocide.
That is his legacy.
Watch our film revealing those spy flights that the national media refused to cover, and helped Starmer get away with it.

Two years ago the ICJ issued its finding that Israel must "rapidly" end its presence in the occupied territories and that all states should not render aid to that occupation.
The UK hasn't bothered to respond to it, despite numerous calls.
Britain also still allows trade with those illegal settlements.
Declassified recently revealed that an Israeli group, Shivat Zion, was helping Britons move to an illegal settlement, and was photographed at an event in London. This group has not been sanctioned.
Despite an expansion of illegal settlements, which the ICJ said must cease, the UK stills trades and and invests with Israel.
Sanctions have not even been put on Benjamin Netanyahu who is overseeing the expansion of illegal settlements and who is also wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes.

This is your legacy on the occupied Palestinian territory, Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer. History will remember your complicity.
Despite a partial arms suspension in 2024, Keir Starmer's government has continued to enable Israel's atrocities against Palestinians, their families and children through the supply of F-35 fighter jet parts.
Nothing can change the horrors Palestinians have faced. But the next Prime Minister has an opportunity to put an end to the UK Government's role as an ally to atrocities.
The UK Government must:
🔴 Suspend all arms sales to Israel
🔴 Suspend the UK-Israel trade and partnership agreement
🔴 Ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements
To the next Prime Minister: what will your plaque say?
The Prime Minister has announced that this is "the end of his political journey".
Our campaign to expose his government's role in genocide has only just begun.
Complicity demands consequences — and we will not rest until there is justice for the Palestinian people.
