Of all the negative impacts of generative AI, I think the most haunting may be the way it revealed that a significant number of people have seemingly no emotional attachment to the art they consume whatsoever.
For some reason that part in particular is really upsetting to me.
You tell someone that video games are about the experience of playing them and not what you read in the lore section on the wiki page and they look at you like you said something crazy.
Usually documentaries like this should be focused on interviewing the victims, their families, formerly associates, and psychiatrist professionals.
They should not focus on interviewing lolcows and rapists for “the funny”
Genuinely couldn't care less about seeing superheroes clash on screen together if you’re not going to use the language of film to adapt comics as a medium in visually interesting ways.
This is what a real comic book film looks like.
Christopher Nolan says younger audiences are utterly rejecting AI-generated slop.
“[My sons'] judgment of AI slop has been immediate and harsh. They see it for what it is very quickly – and it’s much easier for them to identify it, because it grew out of an online world they know really well.”

A story about someone trying to preserve real art in a world full of technological slop definitely has the potential to hit hard right now
Can’t wait to see this kid die horrifically
You watch movies, you read books, you play games. How hard is it to understand not engaging with the medium you call yourself a fan of is considered larp
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
