I didn't think anyone would read this. I certainly wasn't expecting it to resonate so much. A massive thank you to everyone who has shared their experiences ❤
We all deserve better.
I wrote a personal piece, just to work through my own thoughts. I wanted to be mentally rid of it before the new year and that I may as well hit publish. Pregnancy, a pandemic and the patriarchy. https://t.co/7S97e1l3sk
Can we once and for all dispense with this tedious "But he always took the bins out and said hello" commentary, as if there was a contradiction here that needed explaining.
Violent men ARE "nice guys".
They're nice to everyone but the women they abuse. That's the whole point.
Par for the course isn’t it? Of course the person directly impacted isn’t centred. In any decent World she would be invited to speak first, instead she’s silenced while people around her bray and cheer.
I stopped engaging in the design discourse on here for no other reason than because it's super fucking boring. It's the same surface level "blah blah blahs".
"Your portfolio is blah blah blah"
"AI is going to take blah blah blah"
"Design as a craft is blah blah blah"

Can you fully access all of the interactive elements without a mouse? Can you see which element is selected as you move through each page?
Can everyone please stop adding their Mastodon usernames to their Twitter names? It’s really frustrating for screen reader users. Hearing them being read out loud when scrolling down my timeline isn’t fun.
Add it to your bio or make a pinned tweet instead.
@Keir_Starmer@UKLabour Please can your team not put up images without alt text? Lots of people can't read this. You could also link to the statement on a proper web page so it's readable
So proud to be partnering with the @NHS_RHO on this incredibly important work. Please share far and wide, the more people that are aware of what we're doing, the better!
