The "Little Spot" of Mentoring program is a unique and innovative approach to developing empathy at @BCSDHuntington. By pairing older and younger students and using the "Little Spot" emotions books as a tool for connection, the program fosters meaningful relationships and understanding between different grade levels. Through reading and discussing these books, students learn to recognize and understand their own emotions and those of others. This program enhances empathy and promotes a sense of community and inclusivity within the school environment. If you know me, you know a trip to Springfield, Illinois has been on the list for years in the making. Love to share a day of learning about Lincoln with the family.
My favorite Huntington tradition: Rocket launch day! The suspense of 5th graders trying to catch their rocket is always exciting! Shout out to @lromph for putting in a TON of time and energy into this event!! 🚀
Take a ‘peep’ at our 4th grade math stations! Mixed numbers & improper fraction egg match, protractor war, peep fractions and peep decimal order with Mrs. Weinert🐣
