This generation has the highest chance of ending HIV, we will be unfair to the next generation if we don't use the opportunity, here is why:

1) If you are living with HIV, and you take the current medication say from today in 1-6 months your viral load will be suppressed meaning you won't transmit HIV to your partner even with unprotected sex and chances of transmitting HIV to your unborn/new baby will be close to none

2) If you are HIV negative and your partner is HIV positive, and you take your Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) pill daily you won't get infected with HIV (Remember Zimbabwe recently approved the 2 monthly PrEP injection, it can be here soon and it will of great benefit to those taking PrEP).

3) You can use condoms available everywhere including for free in public hospitals especially when having "casual sex". This will prevent you from getting HIV & other STIs like syphilis, gonorrhea etc also preventing unwanted pregnancy at the same time, that's the benefit of this preventative measure over others which just prevent HIV. If you are HIV positive the best gift you can give to humanity is using condom on the "unexpecting" partner, who may not be able to say no to unprotected sex, the teenager girls etc. remember >80% of new HIV infections in age group 10-19 are females.

4) And if a condom breaks or you are not sure of HIV status of partner you just had unprotected sex with, don't worry, there is an emergency option B, Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), if you take this pill daily for 28 days starting within 72 hours post exposure (the earlier the better) then you are safe.

This above was motivated by some sad stats including that 67 % of people of all ages living with HIV and 88 % of children and adolescents living with HIV worldwide are in Africa, most burdened countries are in SADC.
