This is a macro-driven bleed, not a coin-specific breakdown, and there is no confirmed reversal yet. Bitcoin bounced off the session low, but altcoins are still leading the drop.
Why it is red
Four things hit at once on Oct 8.
Fed September minutes still point to another hike as likely by year-end. The 10-year yield was near 5.3–5.35%.
Brent crude was around $104–$106 on the Iran supply scare. Risk assets sold together.
Spot ETF flows flipped hard. Bitcoin funds lost about $487 million on Oct 7, the biggest day since June 25. Ether funds had been outflowing for seven straight sessions.
Liquidations ran past $1 billion in 24 hours, with roughly $930 million to $1.05 billion of that in longs. Forced selling, not fresh conviction shorts.
Also in the mix: wallets tied to US government seizures moved about 12,267 BTC (~$1 billion). No exchange deposit was confirmed, so that looks like a reshuffle, not a sale. The move still spooked the book. Saturday is the one-year mark of the Oct 10, 2025 flash crash.
CORE specifically
No new catalyst. CoinMarketCap’s Oct 8 note put the drop on the broader risk-off tape plus volume collapsing about 49%. It is trading under its daily moving averages, with the 200-day EMA far overhead near $0.049. The only recent protocol item is Core DAO’s Oct 1 plan to hand block production to independent validators. That is structural, not a price driver today. Nearest area traders are watching is about $0.018; a clean break opens $0.015. Resistance sits near $0.0209.
Reversal check
Not confirmed. BTC reclaimed the $81k handle off the $80.4k low, but ETH and SOL are still underperforming, ETF demand is absent, and yields plus oil are still the headwind. A real turn needs $83k back and held, plus ETF flows flipping green. Until then this is a bounce inside a down move, two days before the 10/10 anniversary.
Post you can use
Crypto is bleeding, and it is macro, not a single-coin story.
BTC $81,770 (−1.9%), off a $80.4k low. ETH $2,478 (−4.1%) under $2,500. SOL $109 (−6.3%), the weakest major. CORE $0.0191 (−2.4%), just following the tape on thin volume.
What broke it: hawkish Fed minutes, 10-year near 5.3%, oil above $104, $487M BTC ETF outflow, and $1B+ liquidations, almost all longs. A US gov BTC wallet move added noise. No confirmed sale.
Bounce off $80.4k is not a reversal. $83k reclaim plus ETF inflows would be. Until then, alts keep leading the bleed.
Not financial advice. Prices move fast.
Drop the CORE line if you only want majors. Do not call a bottom in the caption. The data does not support it. @Coredao_Org@Core_002
Helicopter boarding offshore is routine until it isn’t. For engineers, the difference is usually preparation, not luck.
Before you leave the beach
- Confirm your flight, manifest, and weight. Declare tools, samples, and personal kit accurately. Overweight or undeclared bags get left behind, or worse, shift the load.
- Wear the right kit: coveralls, safety boots with defined heels, gloves, and a lifejacket that fits over your clothing. Hood up if the operator requires it. Loose scarves, caps, and open jackets stay off.
- Pack so you can board hands-free. Soft bags only, zipped, with nothing that can snag or fall. Laptops and hard cases go in approved luggage, not carried loose.
- Know your seat and exit from the safety brief. If you have done HUET/BOSIET, refresh the brace position and window-exit sequence before you walk out. Do not assume you will remember it under noise and spray.
- Check weather and sea state with the crew. If they delay or cancel, that is the correct call. Pushing a marginal flight is not engineering judgment.
At the helideck or terminal
- Follow the crew, not the person in front of you. Wait for the signal. Never approach from the rear or walk under the rotor disc without clearance.
- Approach from the front or the designated side, slightly crouched, eyes on the crew. Hold bags low and close. Hats and loose papers stay secured.
- One hand for yourself on the step and rail. Do not rush the door. Rotor wash will shove you; anticipate it.
- Sit where assigned, belt on before you look at your phone, headset on, and ear protection seated. Stow bags so they cannot slide into an exit path.
- Listen to the brief even if you have flown the route a hundred times. Exits, ditching drill, and no-smoking rules are not optional background noise.
In flight and on arrival
- Stay belted. Turbulence offshore is normal. Unbuckling to reach a bag is how people get injured.
- On landing, wait for the crew signal before you move. Rotor is still live until they say otherwise.
- Exit the same way you boarded: low, controlled, clear of the tail. Do not stop for photos under the disc.
- On the platform, move straight to the safe zone. Tools and bags come off the deck before you start a handover.
Engineer-specific cautions
- Samples, meters, and radios are not worth a snag on a step or a door sill. If it cannot be secured, it does not fly with you in the cabin.
- Fatigue after a night shift is a boarding hazard. If you are not fit to fly, say so before manifest close.
- Never coach a new colleague through a shortcut. The procedure is the procedure.
The aircraft does not care about your schedule or your scope of work. Preparation is part of the job: correct weight, correct kit, correct path, and the discipline to stop when something looks wrong.
*1 Peter 2:24 - KJV*
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed."
Heavenly Father! Thank You for the Power of Redemption, Thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ! We decree victory over sin by the blood of Jesus! We declare divine health by the stripes of the LORD Jesus! Perfect all that concerns us Lord in the Mighty Name of Jesus!!!

Jesus paid it All!
We did not look at President TINUBU face, because we know that he won't like the message we came to deliver at Aso Rock.
CARDINAL JOHN ONAYEKAN
My question is:
Other Daddy G.O, and Mummy G. O them, what is stopping them from going to Aso Rock to tell President TINUBU that their congregation are suffering?
Abi they are waiting to hear from God, for the suffering their members are feeling already in Nigeria ?
God have mercy on them honestly.
