Using a combination of #sedimentology and #micropalaeontology, we show that karst pockets in elevated limestone terrain (>10 m asl) can trap and preserve marine #sands deposited by past #tsunami waves.

Last year had many scientific highlights for me but it ended with a banger. About 1 month ago I disembarked D/V #Chikyu being offshore for the #IODP #Exp405 #JTRACK. It took some time to digest these two months offshore. It was an amazing experience and an engineering marvel. 1/2
