This is a tough time for a lot of people. My hope is that people who have never faced unforeseen circumstances like these start to empathize w/ others who’ve experienced them their whole life. Healthcare shouldn’t be linked to a job. Paid sick leave should always be a thing.
My family is very affected by this, and I HATE to get emotional and personal but I can’t even come in contact with my mother because she has and auto immune disease.
We owe a profound debt of gratitude to all our health professionals and everybody who’ll be on the front lines of this pandemic for a long while. They’re giving everything. May we all model our own behavior on their selflessness and sacrifice as we help each other through this.
I’ve worked my whole life to overcome a stutter. And it’s my great honor to mentor kids who have experienced the same. It’s called empathy. Look it up.
