โA Lesson I Will Never Forget โค๏ธ
Last Thursday, around 4:00 p.m., we were called to the hospital to donate blood for my younger sister, who was about to undergo a C-section.
When we got there, they tested our blood, but unfortunately, none of us had the matching blood group. I decided to rush back to the market so we could find other relatives or friends to come and get tested. Time was running out.
On my way, around Danjar Yankura by France Road, a traffic officer stopped me for allegedly making a wrong turn (changing direction).
I was already stressed and worried. I explained to him that I wasnโt trying to be difficult, I was only in a hurry because my sister urgently needed blood for surgery. Instead of listening, he asked me to โsettleโ him. I only had โฆ150 in my pocket, and I told him that was all I had and I couldnโt give it away because of the emergency. He then said I should wait for his superior officer (OC).
When the OC arrived, I explained everything that had happened. He asked me a simple question:
โWhat blood group is needed?โ
I replied, โO positive.โ
He looked at me and said,
โThatโs my blood group too. Letโs go to the hospital.โ
I was speechless.
He followed me to the hospital, donated his own blood, and that blood was used for my sisterโs operation.
By the grace of God, the C-section was successful. Today, both the mother and the baby are safe and healthy.
That moment changed the way I see people.
If someone had told me before that a traffic officer would personally donate blood to save a strangerโs life, I might not have believed it, especially with all the negative stories we often hear.
This experience reminded me that everywhere you go, you will find both good people and bad people.โ
Moral lessons; We should never judge everyone by the actions of a few. There are still kind-hearted people who are willing to help without expecting anything in return.
May Almighty Allah reward that officer abundantly, protect him, bless his family, grant him success in his work, and continue to use him as a source of goodness for others.
Humanity still exists. Hope still exists. And kindness can come from the most unexpected places. โค๏ธ

Dear Kaduna State Government,
Phone snatchers attacked a young boy, and the estimated cost of his surgery is now over โฆ500,000+, all because of a phone worth less than โฆ200,000.
I am respectfully calling on the Kaduna State Government to urgently address the growing menace of phone snatching in the state. Many families are losing loved ones to these criminals, and the situation is worsened by the weak justice system. When these suspects are arrested, some are granted bail even before they are taken to court.
I have been in Kaduna Prison and spoken with several of them. Many confidently say that even after arraignment, they will still get bail. Some even believe that if convicted, they will eventually receive amnesty. I have personally seen individuals return to prison two to three times after being released. This is why many of them no longer fear arrest by security agencies. They fear mob action by the community far more than the police or the courts.
Urgent action is needed. During Governor Nasir El-Rufaiโs administration, anyone caught in such crimes was made to serve a minimum of seven years in prison. That kind of strong deterrent should be reinstated.
Thank you.
