The number one issue, not just for the US but the entire West, is migration. Without homogenous societies, no culture of our own can take root. There will be no more grunge movement, no liberterian urge, no hipsters trying to live authentically. Without our own culture, we are finished. We will be reduced to the hellish fate of the American Indians - who allowed, or just could not defend, against the Euro migration that eventually overwhelmed them
@naptownlawyer Or maybe the owners will have to tighten their belts. Probably both. We all have to make sacrifices if you want an actual nation of your own
These trade agreements were forged in a different geopolitical environment, one in which our chief enemy looked as if they had very recently lost the 50 year Cold War. It could be said that these agreements still served the struggle against the communist menace that united the West. Thirty years later it does look like the Soviet Union was permanently vanquished, and so a big reason for securing our neighbor’s goodwill - just isnt there anymore
Idk, where we vacate, China/Russia will establish a presence. The struggle ahead between govts will be to secure regionally restricted but crucial resources such as minerals and oil. I see a larger global game for these resources than what occurred during the last global struggle between powers, the Cold War. The players will be all who have a technologically advanced enough society that needs these resources to maintain that society
@McNarthius@SaysSimulation I’d take it another step further. JD Vance, for example, probably checks all of my boxes. Except for the fact that by choosing to end his bloodline by yoking himself to and having children with a racial alien, disqualifies him for leadership of the American nation
Not exclude, only recognize that in terms of seniority, of family sacrifice, of contributions to the nation; they necessarily are farther down the line. Families losing lives in the seminal struggles for the country should always have precedence over those families who have not, if push comes to shove
@SaysSimulation Multiple generations have been enduring in the Rust Belt, by now. Unlike Appalachia, we had our former affluence stripped from us. It was the Rust Belt that was literally punished
The Midwest and the South have the oldest American families, in the case of the Midwest many of these families came to America before the Revolution, having settled in New England initially. One addtl criteria should be family seniority in this country. You cant understand America unless your family has been here from the beginning. Strivers should be shunned
@TheWorthyHouse His choice of wives, is a problem. I get it hes got no game, but having deep roots in Kentucky should have instilled in him that blood is everything. You dont racemix unless its to give a middle finger to your people down there
The Rock Island Arsenal is the largest govt owned/operated arsenal in tbe country. Located in the Heartland, it has the ONLY Army foundry/forge in the country with 3 million square feet of manufacturing space. During the dark years, the Arsenal remained the top employer in the area. Great example of what LS is pointing out
