There is a time and season for every market. The key is to find your niche, stay focused, and plan for year-round production, before long, you’ll be smiling all the way to success.

Currently, bell peppers sell for as high as ₦6,000 to ₦7,000 per kilogram, and the price is expected to rise even further.

We chose bell pepper (alongside a few other vegetables) because of its consistent pricing and predictable market demand.

In a greenhouse with 1,000 plants, you can harvest up to 100–150 kg weekly, provided the crop is managed properly. Harvest can continue for 5–6 months, ensuring steady income.

At today’s prices, a single greenhouse can generate as much as ₦1 million per week.

Of course, greenhouse farming is not without challenges, it demands significant start-up capital and technical expertise. But once you master it, the rewards are unmatched, and you’re set for life.

F2 seeds aren’t new and they’re neither ethical nor sustainable for farmers in the long run. They come with too many uncertainties, and that’s a discussion for another day.

If you truly want to be a breeder, start from original seeds, develop your own lines, and patent your work.
