@jakedecker @msager Can't say I've had the pleasure on the cod livers before. For the herring, I'd suggest sour cream, dill, and pickled onions (can just be a vinegar soak).
So that brings us 5 different items that can each transform something with less effort or prep than you might otherwise need. Pretty great, right? Plus some chocolate.

Time for our final new boxes of 2020! I've picked out a few of the items from previous Taste the World boxes that are a) most beloved, and b) most easily make a meal or dish shine on their own.

More #quarantinebaking at Ben to Table HQ — with somewhat varying results! The Poilâne sourdoughs have only gotten better as my starter matures (right column). Upper left is a Poilâne sourdough rye. Bottom left? Well, that frisbee was my first attempt at a Tartine country bread.
Am I a #quarantinebaking cliche? Yes.
Am I nevertheless extremely proud of this first sourdough? You bet your ass.
From the Poilâne cookbook, I made this #bread using Maine Grains and King Arthur Flour (the Maine Grains Red Fife is from the April Essentials Box).
One beautiful thing about the ingredients in April's Delicacies Box? Simplicity.
I took some greens, sliced some radishes, & opened a can of smoked salmon. Tossed with a dressing of the banyuls mustard, thyme, piment d'ville & fleur de sel (plus lemon juice & evoo), & voila!
For the April Essentials Box, we've got this lineup of beautiful staples. Since flour has been in short supply, I've brought Maine Grains in as a ringer. Here are some ideas to get you started cooking with these delicious staples: https://t.co/qx1mx5KNDY
