🚨 Labour is the party of unemployment.

Job vacancies are at their lowest level in a decade outside the pandemic. 101,000 payrolled jobs have been lost over the past year, and the claimant count is surging.

Employers are being hammered by Angela Rayner’s (Un)Employment Rights Act and Labour’s refusal to rule out MORE taxes.

Only the Conservatives will get Britain working again.

It was never a ‘stretch target.’ The manifesto promise came with no caveats. It only became a ‘stretch’ when it was clear they’d never hit it — not by a long chalk. Would be more honest just to admit that. But that’s not how politicians work. They think we can’t see their dissembling.
So let me do their work for them: there is no chance — no chance — Labour will build 1.5m new homes in England between 2024 and 2029. End of.

Think again.

Most of England’s historic counties were already centuries old by the time William the Conqueror arrived - with origins in ancient kingdoms, shires and territories dating back to the Anglo-Saxon period and earlier.

Yorkshire. Kent. Sussex. Essex. Norfolk. Somerset. Devon.

These are not modern administrative inventions - they are part of England’s historic geography and identity, enduring for hundreds (and often well over a thousand) years.

The Normans conquered England.

They did not invent England’s counties.

UK energy policy just got even more bonkers:
The Burnham Government is considering investing billions of pounds in new facilities to import foreign LNG, even though it refuses to issue any new licenses for North Sea gas, which emits 3/4 times less CO2 than imported LNG. Madness.

PD foxy attended a report of a male in the street in stafford with a weapon. The male had hidden the weapon nearby. PD Foxy deployed to search the area and found the weapon stashed under a bin. One in custody and a weapon removed from the streets

In the 24 months since Labour came to power, we've seen;

• Employer National Insurance increased from 13.8% to 15%.
• The employer NI threshold cut from £9,100 to £5,000.
• Income Tax and National Insurance thresholds frozen until 2031.
• Capital Gains Tax increased from 10% and 20% to 18% and 24%.
• Business Asset Disposal Relief increased from 10% to 14%, then 18%.
• Investors’ Relief increased and its lifetime allowance cut from £10 million to £1 million.
• Carried interest taxation increased and moved towards the Income Tax regime.
• Dividend tax rates increased by two percentage points.
• Savings-income tax rates increased by two percentage points.
• Property-income tax rates increased by two percentage points.
• Most unused pension funds brought into the Inheritance Tax net.
• Agricultural Property Relief restricted.
• Business Property Relief restricted.
• Inheritance Tax thresholds frozen for longer.

• The Energy Profits Levy increased and extended.

• Tobacco duties increased above inflation.
• Vehicle Excise Duty increased for many new cars.
• Electric vehicles brought into the Vehicle Excise Duty system.
• A new mileage tax announced for electric and plug-in hybrid cars.
• Air Passenger Duty increased.
• Climate Change Levy rates increased.
• Plastic Packaging Tax increased.
• A new Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism introduced.
• Making Tax Digital extended to more landlords and self-employed people.

Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades - with no noticeable improvement in public services.
