Blessed husband of @Buckley3rdGrade. Data guy. Iowa alum. Irrational fan of Kobe, Shaun Livingston, and whoever is quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings.
Insane Iowa stat:
Clemson is a top-25 defensive rebounding % team
Florida is a top-25 2-point % defense team
Nebraska is a top-25 3-point % defense team
Iowa forced Clemson's single-worst dreb% of the year
Iowa forced Florida's single-worst 2pt% D of the year
Iowa force Nebraska's single-worst 3pt% D of the year
The Hawkeyes not only beat three very good teams, but beat three very good teams at EXACTLY what those opponents were best at.
Impossible.
Watching an absurdly well coached Vikings defense against the Bengals — attacking the ball, clouding the star receivers, high effort everywhere — and once again remembering that Brian Flores is the most deserving head coaching candidate in the league.
And it’s not close!
Going an entire NFL season only losing games to two teams, still ending up as a wildcard, and still not even making it to the Divisional Round might be the peak Minnesota Vikings experience.
I truly don’t think they are ever going to top that.
ESPN, not content with broadcasting the murder of the Vikings this week, is replaying the missed facemask that ended the last game between the two teams.
Seemingly just to add insult to injury.
Jordan Love's stats on true dropbacks this season, including today.
These are non-play action, non-RPO, non-screen pass attempts. Just drop back and rip it.
