We indians always look for reasons why our country hasn't developed like other countries, and blaming the British is one of the easiest things to do. Colonialism certainly affected India, but saying that it is the sole reason for India's situation today is just stupid. It's been 8 decades since we gained independence, but still treating colonialism as an excuse is unacceptable. At some point, we have to accept that it is because of Indians their greed, their selfishness, and their lack of care for the country that India is in this situation.
@IndoKatholic Prior to the Christian conquest of the Empire, the Western world knew of no such things as hospitals, orphanages, private charities, or governmental assistance to the poor. These are Christian innovations. - Love thy stranger by bart ehrman(athiest new testament scholar)
These are the same people who complain about racism in other countries. They think they are superior or better in their own country, where they have the upper hand, but the moment they step outside their country, they demand equality and complain about racism. They hate it when they have to taste their own medicine. That is pure hypocrisy.
Moving forward doesn’t always mean progress. If we fail to recognize the values that built our country and made it strong, we may slowly abandon the very principles that made us and end up moving backwards.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven. Matthew 5:11-12

There is this intresting theory proposed by Ambedkar in his book Untouchables, basically his argument is that the cow was not always considered sacred in ancient India. He said that ancient Hindus, including Brahmins, ate beef and sometimes sacrificed cattle. According to him, cow protection and the prohibition of beef eating developed later, partly as Brahmins changed their practices in competition with Buddhism. He connected this historical change to the growing stigma against people who continued to eat beef, which he believed contributed to the emergence of Untouchability.
