My passion keeps me up at night. I truly love what I do. But some of what goes on in boys AAU honestly hurts. The politics can get ugly, and too often the focus is on what benefits the program instead of what’s best for the kids. That’s hard for me to understand. How can you put your own interests first when you know a situation might not be right for a young player? I get that it’s a business, but at the end of the day, the kids should always come first.
