When a friend leaves social media, or if they never joined in the first place, our first thought probably isn't that the person died. But when we stare into the cosmos and see no intelligent life, a fairly common theory is that other civilizations must have died out.
@paulderdash1@ThatEricAlper The writers had tied themselves in knots and run out of ideas, so for the final episode they just did a parody of SNL's Dear Sister sketch
@Sohanstag Update: after learning more context around this, I now think the likelihood of cheating is very low, and that absent further evidence, Adelstein owes Lew an apology and a bundle of $. Crazy hand!
@Sohanstag If I played / saw this hand, I'd be pretty convinced she was either drunk, confused, or cheating, and I don't think the first two are particularly likely.
@Sohanstag The relevant background is the recent scandal involving Mike Postle, which also involved a live-streamed game and a very winning player making nonsensical decisions only at the right times, and unable to explain their moves
@Sohanstag It's not the bet that's suspicious; it's the call. It's a play I'd expect in a low-stakes game from an amateur, but for a player who's apparently winning at the highest stakes, it's deeply dubious, unless they're on tilt, drunk, misread their hand, etc.
