Another Fatal accident has occured near Busota Health Centre III in Kamuli.

Reports indicate that a bus carrying students of Buzaya Secondary School was involved in an accident in Kamuli.

The number of casualties has not yet been officially confirmed.

I've been sitting with this for some hours now, and I still don't have the words.
Twenty children. Children who woke up yesterday excited for a trip to Sipi Falls, laughing on that bus, probably counting down the hours until they got back to tell their families all about it. And now so many homes are silent instead.

To the mothers and fathers who are burying their babies, may God strengthen you and comfort you during these trying times. There is nothing anyone can say to make this pain smaller. I want you to know that your children mattered, their laughter mattered, and this whole community is grieving with you tonight.

To the teachers and the King David Junior School family, I'm holding you close in my heart too. This was your family as much as anyone's.
To the injured, still fighting, I am praying for a quick recovery.
I keep thinking about how this is the third bus accident with children in just a month. Something has to change. But today, my heart is simply with these families. Rest well, little ones. You were loved. 🕯️🕊️
