@louorns What do you think about Sarr? Always quoted as one of our best players but haven't seen him dominate in a long time, scores goals which is great but seems to be missing an awful lot. Is it due to our inability to keep the ball or could he be doing better?
@ThomasJDesign@LaursenB If you believe the current squad is capable of achieving promotions without reinforcements then fine. I'm not that confident personally, hence my belief that a good portion of the funds would need to be reinvested now.
@LaursenB@ThomasJDesign Sure the money could be reinvested but so far we've spent ~5/6m despite the sales made. Additionally it's late in window to make big moves & Martins a) isn't done and b) per AL would join in jan.
@ThomasJDesign Sort of, but JP was brought in as a prospect and wasn't at the same ability at the time, which was fine when we had GD and WH for Javis system, but JP is vital to the squad and I don't think Β£ would be spent to bring in a ready made replacement, especially at this time in window
@WatfordTalk Sure we lose sarr but I don't think we were promoted BECAUSE of sarr. For me it's about whether the HC can get the team playing as a cohesive unit
@WatfordTalk Im Normally quite negative but have to agree with you.
Defence on paper is an improvement, midfield has lost hughes but louza isn't a huge downgrade (though cleverly is now a year older) and our strikers 2 years ago were gray/perica/Murray and deeney
