Seattle is an outlier. High taxes, terrible team, no path to success. UFA status allows him to take his career elsewhere should he choose. Dallas has no control over that now. He could walk for 20 in Pittsburgh. Dallas have pinched him twice now. He wants to win this year so didn’t go to arbitration and make Dallas pay him more and have to selloff parts of the team. But I wouldn’t think he takes a cut for anything going forward. KK97 in Minn is making 18. Taxes or not he’s better than KK97 and a UFA.

@MolitorisNick Totally agree. Talk of a wrist injury prevented the shoot. The rest of his game is solid. But everyone said he was needed to be moved at the end of the Vegas. I don’t get it… not even two seconds for him. He brings more than Kadri for sure!

That return on Val seems light. Maybe I overvalued him too much. Loved his PK (took 3/4 of season to have a goal against while on the ice). There was talk of a wrist injury for an explanation on his lower offensive output. 6M is a big number but these lines are weak compared to what we’re used to. Does Hughes rate higher in the organization?
