@pastormarct You don't get rid of darkness by fighting against it. Instead you turn on the light. The best way to confront the devil's attacks is by focusing on and lifting up Jesus. He won that battle at the cross, and He gives us His victory.
What you do can help you walk closer with Jesus or lead you away from Him. Your relationship with Jesus or lack thereof will determine your salvation as well as your behavior.
God does not merely call us to obedience. He calls us to be like Christ. He invites us to join in a journey of Christlikeness that reflects His person and character. Obedience on this journey is the result of our relationship with Him, and a means of going deeper with Him.

Only those who have been “crucified with Christ” and yet live in Him can effectively lead His Church.
@garykrause7 How true. Public evangelism as we know it rarely has any process for building relationships with God or with a church family. Without the relational glue, evangelism becomes only an intellectual exercise that cannot transform hearts.

Ps 46:10 - You cannot experience God’s grace while focusing on what you think you have to do. Waiting on God in quiet faith is one of the greatest ways to praise and exalt Him.
