We made the decision to postpone the 2022 Sarcoma Research Symposium that we had scheduled for Sat, February 26. We want to keep everyone safe, and a virtual platform just isn't the same. However, we will reschedule for some time yet in 2022 - stay tuned!
The UI Sarcoma Research Symposium will be Sat. 2/26. This free event is open to the public. For more info and to register, click here:

We cannot thank @TheCourageRide enough for all of the support they have given to our sarcoma research program! The funding and support this provides is invaluable! #sarcomaresearch#everydollarhelps
@Findcancercure@oncojournalclub@SarcomaAlliance@CureSarcoma Totally agree that should be the goal. Many of my patients (>20%) present with an inappropriate surgery already done or delays in diagnosis. Get everyone to the experts ASAP so we can take care of them!
Top two priorities for sarcoma advocacy: 1) every patient seen by sarcoma expert prior to treatment. 2) every patient given option for clinical trial. What do other patients/providers think? @SarcomaAlliance@CureSarcoma
Cost in healthcare is too hard to comprehend. Transparency is required but also has to be presented in a way that is searchable and easily deciphered. The only definitive conclusion from this report is that the system is not working. https://t.co/dPTHlFEfzl
Excited to have the website for the Iowa Orthopedic Oncology Fellowship up and running. Goal is to train international surgeons in underserved areas of the world. Lots of work to do out there! https://t.co/aKwaID5TgC
Because sarcoma is so rare & because there are so many different kinds, very few oncologists are specially trained to diagnose/treat it. The US has about 50 oncologists who specialize in sarcoma - 2 of them work at Holden. -https://t.co/DGAvuak65c
Our sincere sympathies to our colleagues in @UIowa_urology.

Telemedicine is great for patients who want it. In particular good for long term sarcoma surveillance for those who live far from the hospital. Let’s keep it an option moving forward https://t.co/liADN042RH
