There’s basically two stories about the World Cup right now, it’s either
“US Customs hooks Tajik team up to the BallGrabber 7000 as they exit bus”
or
“59 year old man in Bentonville excitedly invites entire Congolese team to have breakfast with him at Waffle House”
The US has struck water storage units in Sirik, in southern Iran. One side in this war tries to prevent American aircrafts from illegally entering its airspace and invading its maritime borders. The other attacks civilian infrastructure.
@ayatr0llah The way the US just escalates things to war crime levels by hitting water storage units is insane. Wonder if Iran will attempt to hit similar targets across gulf states.
Built into the levels of an old factory is one of the coolest bookstores in the Rust Belt; this is John K. King Used & Rare Books in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The store has an estimated 1 million books in stock, with a large collection of rare and used titles.
@ayatr0llah True but that’s not Iran’s overarching goal. Goal is to drive out US presence from region or at least inflict damage there. That is partly happening hence why ceasefire was even mentioned and ultimately implemented…1/2
@ayatr0llah Isn’t that obvious. US is separated from all the havoc it causes by the two largest bodies of water, nobody is inflicting damage on its soil. I think life for Israelis certainly is more difficult and inconvenienced, but they have full support of the west so of course can absorb.
@romeramreem Has happened in the past, I don’t disagree. But has it ever been this black and white is what I’m asking? Iran isn’t saying keep your hands off “southern Lebanon,” it’s emphasizing all of Lebanon as being part of the ceasefire.
@romeramreem I don’t think it’s been as clear cut as this. Unless there’s records that demonstrate Egyptians or French (lmao) telling the prime imperialist power in the world that Lebanon is part of the ceasefire deal and we will act if that’s broken.
