Recently our newborn was in the hospital with RSV (she's fine). One of the amazing nurses stuck her head in, lowered her mask. "Remember me?" She was a former student.
Never forget. This profession/field is NOT about caring for the young. It's about guaranteeing our own futures.

@NumberShapes@MrDeltaMath Yes, exactly! In the closed array, that's precisely what it would look like. The question's at what point do we go from closed to open to something altogether more abstract (as those we encounter in algebra), ie 8(10x + 1).
Another new fun one - using an area model to multiply/divide whole and mixed numbers. Wonderful way to connect to algebraic distribution. Grade 5-A1. #iteachmath#deltamath
And one last one - we spend so much time teaching students to *measure* angles. But how much experience do they get in drawing them? Grades 4-HS Geo. #iteachmath#deltamath
Really digging our new integrated modules using tape diagrams to help students develop an understanding of equations/inequalities in context. Grades 7-A1. #iteachmath#deltamath
I've been a DeltaMath fan for a long time, but this is stunning. I started creating MY OWN PROBLEMS on DeltaMath and am blown away at the potential. Looking forward to being able to reuse problems and create individualized problems! #MTBoS#ITeachMath
In math, SEEING is often UNDERSTANDING. Check out our new interactive modules, equivalent fractions and ordering fractions, grades 4 and up. #deltamath#iteachmath@MrDeltaMath
We also have some (IMHO) beautiful new modules on working with vertical/adjacent/complementary angles. There's something about the images and models here that I find incredibly soothing. Grades 7 through HS Geo. #deltamath
