الكاتب الباكستاني "أديب ميرزا" في كتابه "المصباح".
يقول :

ذهبت إلى دلهي في الستينات للعمل.. وفي أحد الأيام نزلتُ من الحافلة؛ ثم فتشتُ جيوبي لأتفاجأ بأن أحدهم قد سرقني، وما كان في جيبي حين نُهبت سوى تسع روبيات

ورسالة في مظروف كنت قد كتبتها إلى أمي، تقول الرسالة :
"... أمِّي الحنون !! فُصلتُ من عملي، لا أستطيعُ أن أرسل لك هذا الشهر مبلغ الخمسين روبية المعتاد.."

وكنت قد وضعت رسالتي هذه في جيبي منذ ثلاثة أيام على أمل أن أرسلها في وقت لاحق بما يتوفر من روبيات

وبالرغم من أن الروبيات التسع التي سُرقت لا تساوي شيئاً ؛ لكن الذي فُصل من عمله ؛ وسُرق ماله تساوي في نظره 9000 روبية !!.

مضت أيام.. وصلتني رسالة من أمي.. توجست خوفاً، وقلت في نفسي: لا بد أنها طلبت المبلغ الذي اعتدت إرساله إليها

لكني عندما قرأت الرسالة احترت كونها تحمل شكرها ودعواتها لي، قائلة:

"وصلتني منك 50 روبية عبر حوالتك المالية، كم أنت رائع يا بني، ترسل لي المبلغ في وقته ولا تتأخر بتاتاً، رغم أنهم فصلوك من عملك، أدعو لك بالتوفيق وسعة الرزق..".

وقد عشت متردداً محتاراً لأيام.. مَنْ يا ترى الذي أرسل هذا المبلغ إلى أمي؟!!.

وبعد أيام وصلتني رسالة أخرى بخط يد بالكاد يُقرأ، كتب فيها صاحبها:

"حصلت على عنوانك من ظرف الرسالة، وقد أضفتُ إلى روبياتك التسعة، إحدى وأربعين روبية كنت قد جمعتها سابقاً

وأرسلتها حوالة مالية إلى أمك حسب العنوان الذي في رسالتك.. وبصراحة فإني قد فكرت في أمي وأمك، فقلت في نفسي: لماذا تبيت أمك أيامها طاوية على الجوع وأتحمل ذنبك وذنبها ؟؟

تحياتي لك.. أنا صاحبك الذي سرقك في الحافلة.. فسامحني"
