@StephenMcD8 Include the role a ref has on a game & the relationship between the ref & players - teach kids respect but the ref has to earn it by being of a sufficiently high std & appropriate fitness level to do the job properly! Tubby blowing for "Offside" from the centre circle is not OK!

@StephenMcD8 Good regional league must be established by U12 so promising young players are playing with their own ability against others of a similar higher standard. A representative side playing a tournament or 2 is pointless - need to be games week in week out.

@StephenMcD8 A little criticism of the FAI model here - from recent experience. Playing 9 a-side @ U12 a club loses less skilful players who don't get a game but the club then has to find 13 or 14 players at U13 to field a team. Leads to poaching or teams folding - not good for kids or sport.
