So if he had gone to the Hawks game he would have been in Atlanta, if he had been in Atlanta he would have therefore talked to Fani Willis, if he had talked to Fani Willis ... then what? Something something witch hunt? Even if they had met, it has to ALSO be that the meeting was part of a nefarious political plot. All of this to wave away the seriousness of what the country faced - a president unable to accept losing an election, and willing to break the law (quite brazenly!) in various ways to prevent or undo that loss.

And this hearing only is happening to find SOMETHING to excite the base and as always to excuse their own embrace of Trump after January 6th, which is of course a great lasting shame, and must be denied - to us, the mirror, wherever.

So of course Eric Schmitt didn't find a smoking gun. The crime is that Trump got away with it!
