Learner in all areas of life! AP at Eric Harvie School, a dynamic K-4 learning community. Current high ratio of time thinking about surfing:actual time surfing
@yyCBEdu Congratulations, Jennele! You have helped so many of our learners to love music and to develop a passion for performing! You help make Eric Harvie School a great learning community!
Thank you to Education Matters for involving Eric Harvie School in the Loonies for Literacy campaign! Small donations and actions can add up to inspiring life-long readers and learners!

In my opinion, this piece from a non-ATA source is important for everyone to read - this is really an issue about how to make the parts of an Education system work together effectively. https://t.co/lV4EOCHqH5
Loved being a part of these intense Learner discussions around the most efficient way to figure out how many dots. Rich math tasks and collaborative thinking help promote deep learning!
Hey Tuscany - Our ‘Coulee School’ project is about to go live! Banner is up at front of the school. Finished posters will be placed along edge of the Coulee tomorrow. Posters share student learning & QR codes linking to website. Come learn with us! #EHSOurstory#WeAreCBE
Great start to online learning at EHS today...but still a little sad that the momentum towards engaging in-person learning tasks we have been building needs to wait a few weeks.
Preparing learning spaces today...storing all the soft surfaces to minimize risks.
The tough question that is on my mind now- Should I jump in pile or not?
Those two handsome young readers must have a wonderful dad...oh wait, that’s me! Thank you Lorraine for inspiring all of us at EHS to keep reading front and centre!!
New @EricHarvieSchl - 30th principal blog in 2019-20 about home reading - all written in my 30th year of teaching😊😊 "The Road Home: Celebrating Children Reading Independently". https://t.co/kLXo68wbXy Except I forgot to tweet out the link! June crazy times🥰🥰 #ESHOurstory
@AMDM00yyz Our Parent Council is still patiently waiting on their first casino so this came out of other fundraising (mostly money earmarked for other off site trips that were cancelled in the spring). We went with two 10x15 ft tents from ABCcanopy (on Amazon) - school colours too!
We are very thankful for the Eric Harvie School Parent Council step up and purchasing two large pop up tents for our use in the fall...extend our use of the outdoors through a little more sun, rain, wind...and maybe even snow!
Return to School conversations need to focus on:
1. The outdoor learning is the safest environment
2. Active travel will be safer than bus travel (when possible)
3. The subject of health and physical education will be essential for student social emotional wellbeing #abed
We had a great (hot!!) few days at Aisinai’pi with some great learning on physics of rock skipping, biology of birds of prey, history from the amazing Saa’kokoto...and how to sleep in a tent with a puppy!
Our "Rise of the Super Student!" design thinking challenge, inspired by the UNICEF digital book "My Hero is You!" has begun! Here's our EHS teachers' Readers Theatre production of the story https://t.co/rDAqMWHi8x Design challenges choice board arrives next week! #EHSSuperPowers
We welcomed Chester to our staff meeting today❤️❤️ Mr. Strand brought his family's new 10-week-old addition in for a little puppy therapy - much appreciated company during our budget & school organization discussions! Definitely experiencing puppy love this spring! #EHSOurstory
EHS teachers are busy designing ways for learners to choose how to show their super powers...This artistic motivation is from our extraordinary Mr. Kelly! He will be doing some guided drawing learning soon!
Eric Harvie School Learners...are you ready for a design challenge? Are you ready to be a Superhero?? Eric Harvie School Superhero Design Challenge https://t.co/JE0jWOr2OB via @YouTube
@dcpye@SciGeekJulie@blaistech@mr_polsky@mabycraft@MrSheenYYC@MWay888@stevewclark In Elementary setting there will be pressure to focus on the “basics” with the reduction in instruction during this time. We need to ensure we don’t lose the creativity, problem solving, etc of #STEM. How? Thinking about new organization of shared materials...like cardboard pile!
