Codex 5.5 vs Claude Code 4.8:
After using both extensively, I think most developers are comparing them the wrong way.
Claude is better at some things.
Codex is better at others.
And the highest-leverage workflow isn’t choosing one over the other.
It’s using both.
A few observations 🧵
The most popular way to make money online seems to be to lie about making money online, with fake screenshots, false promises and inflated figures.
Gaining a following and then monetising the following.
The developers who get the most leverage from AI won’t be the ones arguing about which model is best.
They’ll be the ones who understand the strengths of each model and combine them effectively.
My current stack is simple:
Claude for architecture.
Codex for execution.
Both open at the same time.
That’s where the real productivity gains are.

A few observations 🧵
The best workflow I’ve found is using them together.
Use Claude to think.
Use Codex to build.
Use Claude to challenge assumptions.
Use Codex to execute.
Ironically, this often works out cheaper than trying to force one model to do everything.
@nezbuilds Been building a Bible study platform called Illumen.
The goal wasn’t to make another Bible app — but to create a more thoughtful and immersive way to study scripture through AI, design, and deeper exploration.

Still early, but here’s a quick look at what I’ve been working on.
