To all of the Nebraskans who are dealing with debilitating illnesses that could have been helped with medical cannabis, I'm sorry we as a legislature didn't do our duty and provide you with a safe and responsible medical cannabis program in Nebraska.

End the mandate on the use of flouride in public water. It should be up to the people of that community to decide. Especially in light of recent evidence from the NIH and JAMA Pediatrics.
We need to have a well structured & regulated medical cannabis law. Over 71% of Nebraskans voted for it. President Trump also stated his intention to “focus on research to unlock medical uses of marijuana to a Schedule 3 drug, and work with Congress to pass common sense laws.”
@janeoftheplains A senator with political bias, uses a random email with the same obvious political bias, to manipulate an incident at the Capitol for her own use instead of reading the actual police report.
And to think these photos were almost lost if it wasn't for "a curious teenage boy who, in 1965, gave a few dollars to buy a box of 280 glass plate negatives."
These rare photographs of Black families taken in Lincoln during the early 1900s by John Johnson may make him one of the great African American photographers of the 20th Century.

Thank you Tekamah Fire and Rescue Dept. for the invitation to your annual banquet. These are a great group of individuals who go above and beyond for our communities and deserve our appreciation.
I appreciate the Nebraska Association of School Boards for allowing me to share some thoughts about the session and my legislative bills coming up this year. @NASBonline
Last week I got to share some of my thoughts at the @WashCoNECoC Annual banquet on the "Fallout of Success" and what role the state can play (if any) on supporting critical infrastructure and roads when we incentivize bigger business in Nebraska.
Over 812 bills introduced this year!
It's time to limit the amount of bills that can be introduced by a Senator. It should be more about quality and not quantity.
This week I introduced LB 188, which allows for veterans who have at least two years of college education and passed a subject area exam to receive a 5-year temporary teaching certificate to teach in Nebraska, as they work towards their teaching degree.
