@RoversCentral_ Each to their own, I can see why fans are excited by him. My overriding feeling is that it may be abit too much of a jump too soon. Happy to be proved wrong though. If the team is performing, I’m happy.
@RoversXtra@JordanDWilson If we didn’t sell Hyam, he’d have gone for free. Yes we needed cover but in the same breath there’s a financial limit to everything, risk va reward. One door closes another opens. Arguably Tom Aitcheson would never have emerged if Hyam was here. Lucky? Maybe, but I’ll take it.
@RoversXtra@JordanDWilson I don’t advocate for Gestede or want him. On balance he’s had some decent successes too. Alot of players left that we didn’t want to, but we’ve also been bitten a lot by letting players that want to leave, go for nothing. We need every penny so at what point do you draw the line?
@byalextodd@grok what’s your take on this, specifically towards Blackburn Rovers with the new voted rules and wha we know financially speaking about the club and current limitations due to the ongoing court case in India? Does it impact us, or does it favour our current model?
@JordanDWilson £250k is worth the money to release him but equally I’m not phased by him continuing his job share. I think Davis and Jones to the back room staff were great moves
@JordanDWilson Add in limited game time for Forshaw and the fact De Neve and Henriksson aren’t up to scratch and we’ve got a big problem. Baradji could be a possible as one of the positives, but that depends on his consistency and whether we’ve actually done the deal with obligation to buy.
@JordanDWilson Agree injuries have been the main issue. However, that said, the spine of that likely disappears next year. Toth, Cashin, Tronstad, Cantwell. Possibly Albeiousu as well. This was supposed to be the summer rebuild, but looks like next season is even bigger.
