First payout from my @fundingurtrades finally came through.
$1,199.85.
Quick recap
→ 100K 1-Step Prime
→ Kept around $500-$1K max risk for the day
→ If the day went south, I was done, No trying to make it back
→ Protecting the account came before squeezing another trade out.
A setup appears.
You're late.
Price moves without you.
You watch it run 2R.
Now you feel stupid.
So you enter late.
Stop gets hit.
You just turned missing a trade into losing money.
Remember:
You didn't lose money by missing the setup.
You only lose when you break your rules.
You lose a trade.
Then you immediately look for another one.
Not because it's a good setup.
Because you want your money back.
That's revenge trading.
And the dangerous part?
The second trade often feels urgent.
There is no urgency in trading.
The moment you NEED today's trade to make money, you're already in trouble.
You stop asking:
"Is this a good setup?
And start asking:
"How can I make money today?
Those are completely different questions.
A professional trader doesn't need every trade to work.
they need 1
One of the most dangerous moments in trading isn't after a loss.
It's after a big win.
You make 3–4 great trades.
Confidence goes up.
Then your brain says:
"I can risk a little more now."
That's how a good week turns into a bad day.
A winning streak doesn't increase your edge.
Getting your first payout feels amazing.
Then something strange happens.
You stop trading the same way.
Why?
Because now the money is real.
Before the payout, you were trying to prove you could make money.
After the payout, you're afraid of giving it back.
