Senate Minority Leader Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III is heaping praises for his legal chops during the Senate impeachment proceedings.

Pimentel, a Bar topnotcher, was one of the only five senators who stood their ground and opposed a Senate motion to return the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte to the House of Representatives. The outgoing senator argued there is no 'return to sender' concept in the impeachment proceedings. He was concerned that this was an apparent not-so-subtle attempt to bury the case.

"Mabuhay ka, Senator Koko Pimentel! Bar topnotcher na, napakagaling na Minority Leader pa!" Senator Risa Hontiveros said in a Facebook post.
