If you go to Michigan, go to Detroit, which is about 2 1/2 hours from the Ohio border. You can go to the Motown Museum, Hart Plaza, Mexican village, etc, and if you’re feeling spicy, you can get to Canada in roughly 15-20 minutes, since that is just a bridge/tunnel away from Detroit. Agree with others here that you should definitely go to Cedar Point, which is 2 hours south of Detroit.
It’s about efficiency. You can go to Detroit, hang out downtown and have a blast. Then you can head south to Ohio, hit Cleveland (gotta see the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame), and go to Cedar Point, which is the best amusement park in the world. Not the country, the WORLD.
