#RedBbankNJ Join-us. Always poweful. Amy and I will be walking over to the Red Bank Martin Luther King celebration - 10 AM - today over at the The Vogel. Open to all and free. Thank you organizers and supporters❤️
A proposed gas pipeline cutting across the Raritan Bay is getting push back from Bayshore communities and environmentalists.
Red Bank Councilman Ben Forest called it a misguided plan.
“This project has zero energy benefit to it in Monmouth County and, for that matter, New Jersey. Its construction and use are damaging to the environment. It promotes the use of fossil fuels over less expensive renewables. By definition contributing to climate change. This is a catastrophic and costly problem for all municipalities on many levels,” Forest said. "We publicly opposed it by passing a local resolution in 2019 and again in 2025. Red Bank's No to NESE is still a No."

#RedBankNJ Regular Senior Center Council Office Hours this Wednesday will be delayed, starting at 11.
Council Member Blackwood is away on vacation. Come on in, no appointment is necessary. All Red Bank residents are welcome.
I would also like to add that office hours are useful on many levels. Acted on many suggestions. Totally helped make me a better, more responsive councilman. Thank you for attending.
Wide rang of topics: sensitive and or personal, town policies, law enforcement, traffice saftey, housing, development, health care, recreation, staff, poverty, borough serviceses, parks; even state and national issues occasionally. It’s nice to be able to take the time really hear about an issue (s) (five minute time limit at our full public meetings).
It continues to be an honor and pleaure to serve as a Red Bank Councilman. Hours are regularly scheduledi at the Red Bank Senior Center weekly.

The two years have gone quickly and a lot has happened. Implementing a new form of government approved by voters. Hiring a professional Manager. New Police Chief. Marine Park project underway. Prioritizing pedestrian and traffic safty. We both serve on the budget advisory committee for the Borough. There is a lot more to do and I’m proud to report that we haven’t hesitated making the necessary decisions. Introduced regular office hours Council and Mayor, and there’s been a lot there . And many more issues, small and large. These times are challenging. It continues to be an honor to serve.
(Technical note, we did the video in one take, no edits and no reshots)
(Politics) #RedBankNJ Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka at International Women’s Day march. Wow. Remarks are unedited.
Baraka, also seeking Democratic nomination for Governor.
Procession went from train station, through downtown to Riverside Gardens Park. There were donuts, volunteers, and lots of friendly faces. The Red Bank Police and organizers did an excellent job at managing the procession.
It was an honor to join the march today with Amy Goldsmith and my son.

Handled some tough questions too✅ Here is a video of her opening remarks. I am a long time fan of the Congresswoman. Met her a few times in my capacity as a Board Member of Clean Water Action New Jersey. We’re at @ParisBaguetteUS of Red Bank.
Unfortunately I was not able to stay for the entire session today☹️
