Started seeing a different lightning bug from the yellow one earlier. Bluish white, flashes more than the yellow ones

Lightning bugs are out. Bright yellow right now. Seem to start up after the birds settle down for night. This one starts in center then drifts to right.

@dias35424661 No, did not build ships from balsa. Miniature ships are mostly metal. Balsa wood is the base I place them on. Balsa makes models easier to handle, allows for labeling and protects the ones with guns pointing over the side or with decal flight decks

@dias35424661 1/2400 is really small. Have to base them on balsa to keep from losing them. I use a magnifier and sharpened toothpicks to help paint them. But even so it’s relaxing to work on them

@dias35424661 Your carriers look great. Your Saratoga turned out much better than my attempt. Flight deck decals are a little different from model kit decals. Only wet them a real short time then apply them. They come with instructions.

My collection of Japanese ships are a smaller scale, 1/2400, that I use for wargaming. There are some duplicates from different companies
