The BBC has deleted its own defamatory content about us, but the impact of social media means that once a false claim has been published, it is impossible to ever completely remove it from the internet. (3/
The BBC's apology and full retraction of false claims about my husband and me did nothing to cover the impact of the people who spread the BBC's false claims on social media, nor the impact it had on our family life, just months after we welcomed our son born through surrogacy. (1/
During our routine parental order hearing at the family court, the magistrate commented on the negative impact of social media speculation relating to our surrogacy journey, and this followed extended investigations by social workers because of the BBC's false claims (2/
@taylorkwinship@jk_rowling The limitation of defamation is a year. Also in absolute fairness, JK Rowling has donated more towards MS research than I could possibly even imagine even with the BBC’s assistance yesterday and as someone who lives with MS, for that anyway I’m always grateful.
@jk_rowling@DreyfusJames@PinkNews I thought you might want to read this considering your post of the earlier article in this series two years ago https://t.co/vmAfFeMxRC

Just to say- on Threads this birthday post for me and our son got nothing but love. Every post on this platform about my family ultimately results in homophobic, racist and ableist comments. I think that this tells me everything I need to know.
@mssocietyuk@Laviai This is so incredible, congratulations @Laviai a massive inspiration to those of us with MS even if we can only manage a basic Peloton class!

Dressed in 2020 vintage to look after Macaulay today as both Daddies have Covid
As someone with MS on an immunosuppressant it was a more confusing process with the NHS than the height of the pandemic but I started antiviral treatment within 5 hours of a positive result
When I had Covid in 2022, I registered my result online in the evening and had a call the next morning to say that someone would drop the medication to me. This time was actually faster but a lot more steps and confusion.
The process I went through: Letter from NHS a while ago said to call GPs, they said to call 111, 111 booked me an call with my own GP who then told me to call 111 back, eventually a 111 GP prescribed the treatment which my Mum got for me after phoning around 5 pharmacies
