@LisaForteUK Or you have people around you who will speak the truth & not just support the rhetoric you want. Maybe even have a few technologists in government or the Lords. Developing policy is complex and basing it solely on high level thinking, however well intentioned, will backfire.
@LisaForteUK Trying to solve complex social problems with “simple” technical “fixes” always lead to unintended consequences. But the sound bites have popular appeal 🤷♂️ Bottom line, we need people who understand the nuances, involved in the legislature.
