Apparently the chosen viewport material is only rated for 1300 meters which was a major point of concern for the fired employee. This is far short of the nearly 4000 meter depth certification required for going the 3800 meters and that would be bare minimum #titan #oceangate

Without the proper inspections and certifications occurring, the wear and tear from the 4000psi at those depths was not being properly tracked & monitored. Arguably many items should’ve been replaced before/after each mission #oceangate
