NEW: Man Kidnaps Ex-Girlfriend in Texas, Leads Multi-State Pursuit Ending in St. Louis Critical Incident

The Missouri State Highway Patrol released details in 2024 about the end of a multistate pursuit involving Ryan Phillips, who kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, Delisha Evans.

Phillips set fire to Evans's Texas home and kidnapped her. Troopers spotted Phillips's vehicle and attempted a stop, but he fled and rolled over his vehicle.

Phillips emerged from the vehicle and raised a firearm.

Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

An autopsy confirmed that Evans was deceased before the pursuit.
