On Tuesday I embarked on my first adventure in a truck to just “drop off” a tractor and grain cart 350 miles away in Oklahoma!
It was a fantastic experience and there’s nothing like being thrown in at the deep end! There a few near misses but we’ll just call those learning curves

My journey started by getting on the wrong train followed by 3 right trains and then 6 flights

I’ve been studying for my CDL (American lorry test), meeting the crew and working on brand new John Deere machinery

I can happily say I’m loving every minute of this USA adventure

The time has come for some change, very big change!

Partly thanks to the inspirational talks I heard when I took part in the John Forest Memorial Award @susieshoots

I’m currently sat in Dublin airport waiting to travel to Kansas for a harvesting adventure of over 2000 miles

What a fantastic travelling opportunity I have had courtesy of #MasseyFergsuon!

I travelled to sites of the battle of the Somme as well as the memorial in Thiepval

Such an emotional day, the names on the memorial putting into perspective the real sacrifice of war

Cattle muck is an organic fertiliser which our soils heavily rely on to replenish nutrients in order to be healthy

Chemical fertiliser is not sustainable as an alternative

If we stop farming cattle where will we get such fertiliser from?
