It was wonderful meeting some of the servicewomen and men at @EielsonAirForce base today. You all support programs and operations that are absolutely critical to maintaining our edge and deterring 21st century threats. Thanks for all that you do.
If you punish people for being wrong, they cover up their mistakes. They make excuses and throw blame to justify the past.
If you treat being wrong as a learning opportunity, people admit their errors. They take responsibility for correcting and preventing them in the future.
As an introvert, I have to build in time to recharge during the day. I encourage our @USAirForce leaders to learn their own introversion or extroversion tendencies. Your own awareness will help you better clue into your #Airmen’s needs. #MondayMotivaton
Hallmarks of a lifelong learner:
Showing less interest in defending your beliefs than exploring your beliefs
Being less concerned about rationalizing your decisions than growing from your mistakes
Paying as much attention to where your critics are right as why they're wrong
Maj Gentry was one of the finest Commanders I have ever had the privilege of serving with and an even better person. Cal will be deeply missed. My prayers are with his family and the entire 354th FW.
The Airman who died in an accident on Aug. 1 has been identified. Maj. Michael ‘Cal’ Gentry, 354th Contracting Squadron commander, was struck by a vehicle while on a cycling trip. He was 37 years old. https://t.co/ifdrgZCNj4
Three more F-35A Lightning IIs have arrived. These aren't your typical aircraft. These are your 354th Fighter Wing, 356th Fighter Squadron and 355th Fighter Squadron flagships.

@EielsonAirForce Deepest condolences to the Airmen and families affected by this tragedy. The entire 354 FW family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Y’all, I finally did something that Tonya is impressed with 😂. Seriously though — @BreneBrown knows her stuff! Look out for the full episode Tuesday on Facebook.
This is what 💯 looks like! Our 356th Aircraft Maintenance Unit and 356th Fighter Squadron launched the 100th #F35 sortie out of Eielson today! Plenty more to come!
There are three things I try to keep in mind when talking to others who may not be receptive about diversity and race issues:
1. Education about diversity
2. Perseverance - don't give up
3. Grace - don't get frustrated

I was just asked what some of the books I've read that help me have difficult, but necessary, conversations with Airman. The first one that came to mind was "Dare to Lead" by @BreneBrown. This conversation makes us feel vulnerable, but it's only from there can we move forward.
These conversations must happen where you are. It’s not gonna be easy to get to a place where this is behind us - but I know we can get there together.
I want to thank my Wingman, and friend, @GenDaveGoldfein, for sitting down and having this incredibly important discussion.
I couldn’t be prouder to serve with this Black man who happens to be our CMSAF. Thank you for your leadership @cmsaf18 - count me in on joining the fight for understanding...I have much to learn but am committed to do more as a leader to make this better.
Who am I?
I am a Black man who happens to be the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force.
I am George Floyd…I am Philando Castile, I am Michael Brown, I am Alton Sterling, I am Tamir Rice.
