Year 1 had an exciting and memorable day on Thursday when they welcomed a very special visitor from AMP Rose — along with a robot! 🤖
The children loved meeting the robot and finding out more about how it works. It was a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity.
Launchpad had a brilliant visit to Doddington Hall this morning, exploring the beautiful outdoor area. 🌿

Year 5 and 6 are having a brilliant time at PGL! 🌟
There’s been lots of fantastic team bonding taking place, with everyone working together, supporting each other, and building confidence. Today even included a spot of archery – and we’ve already seen some impressive skills.
Year 3 were thrilled to welcome author John Ambrose to school. John visited to share The Bonkers Book of Jobs, the book he co-authored with Mark Wilkinson, and spoke to the children about the many fascinating careers included in it. The book explores a wide range of unusual jobs.
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea at school this afternoon. 🌸
It was lovely to see so many mums and families joining us to celebrate. Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of cakes, sandwiches and hot chocolate, creating a really special and relaxed afternoon.
A few weeks ago, each class was set a creative challenge to design a door display inspired by a book linked to this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week theme: Belonging.
The results have been fantastic! Every class explored their story in a unique way, celebrating inclusion.
🍎🥕 Year 3 enjoyed their food tasting this afternoon, trying a range of different fruits and vegetables.
The children explored a variety of flavours and discussed which ones they liked best. They then chose the flavours they wanted to mix together to create their own tart.

A huge thank you to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society for organising a fantastic tractor visit and workshop for our Early Years children last Monday! 🚜
The children had a wonderful time getting up close to the tractor and learning more about farming.
