The more I look into foods the crazier it gets.
Chlorpyrifos is so toxic that farm workers have to wear protective equipment to apply it.
And you eat the residue with no protection at all.
It's an organophosphate insecticide.
The same chemical class as nerve agents. Nerve agents are highly toxic man-made chemicals that disrupt how the nervous system sends messages to organs.
Chlorpyrifos works by blocking the enzyme that turns off nerve signals. In insects, at high doses, that means death.
In 2015, the EPA's own scientists recommended banning it from foods. And they did at first.
But in 2017, they reversed the decision under pressure from Dow Chemical, the manufacturer. And guess what? They donated over a million dollars to the inauguration fund.
A federal court eventually ordered the EPA to ban it in 2021. That ban is currently having legal problems.
Chlorpyrifos is found on strawberries, apples, and other produce.
That’s pretty crazy.
The farm workers have to wear protective gear around this stuff. But hey why not put it on foods.
It’s crazy how a doctor can ask someone two questions and then prescribe a pill
This is what happened to a friend. She’s been to several doctors in different specialities to figure out the source to her hives and the most recent doctor barely did anything
Needless to say, she’s not going to take the pills
A lot of people think melatonin is just a ‘sleep pill’
That’s like saying ‘we only use 10% of our brains’. It’s an outdated way of thinking
High dose melatonin does a lot
@Ivan_Borovets@alex_lrz_nmv How are you marketing it? I see the ‘ai writing assistant for non-devs’ tagline but what does that mean? Does it help people write books? Write code? Write YouTube scripts? What’s the offer?
@AmazonHelp Well, delivery dates for prime are ‘suggestions’. So…I cancelled prime. There’s literally no purpose to it anymore. Can’t trust a single delivery date anymore because everything gets delayed
