When it becomes a human being, does it have the same value as an adult or do you agree with Peter Singer that cognitive competence gives value?

@cmuratori I am not sure what 'the queue' is referring to here. However, in this program, data read out of the buffer is not held long term, as far as I know, so I don't think validity is a problem.

@cmuratori [4/4] Another thing is that data is copied out of the buffer on requests rather than giving indices. This makes threading less of an issue and it stays valid, but it should not be necessary, I think. Sorry, I know very inexperienced, but I recognize that the code is pessimistic.

@cmuratori [3/*] The second thread then pulls from the queue, when it wants. The meta data and data obviously has to be separated, but as I see it, the first thread could simply put data directly into the buffer rather than into a queue. Maybe it shouldn't even be to be threaded this way?

@cmuratori [1/2] Dumb question: Is the buffer locked? As far as I can see, a circular buffer can be completely thread-safe, while only locking writes during reads (or writes if there are multiple writers) if you can begin a write and bump the tail as an atomic action.

@CaliBNC @UmbraEdo01 @RammJaeger Though I do not live in the US nor is educated in law, I will say that I don't like the way the law is implemented, it seems to set a dangerous precedent such that you can get around any constitutional right. Therefore, I think that I would actually be against this Texas law.

@CaliBNC @UmbraEdo01 @RammJaeger The thing is that I have thought about it, and I am not against high taxes, but I find it harder to legitimately argue for taxes than abortion. This may come down to the fact that I simply cannot argue against the fetus being a person.
