After South Korea's defeat to Mexico on Friday night, Kim Seung-Gyu was left in tears at full-time.

The goalkeeper produced several outstanding saves and did everything he could to keep his country in the game, but one costly mistake proved decisive. Sadly, that's often all it takes for a goalkeeper to be remembered for the wrong reasons.

What makes it even more heartbreaking is that Kim recently made the difficult decision to MISS THE BIRTH OF HIS SON so he could represent South Korea at the World Cup.

It's a sacrifice that has sparked huge debate across Europe, especially in Belgium, where Jeremy Doku has said he would leave the World Cup temporarily to be present for the birth of his child.
