One of my favorite experiences being a physician is meeting patients >90 years old, and asking them what they believe helped them live so long.
My favorite answer was today, when a 98 year old woman answered: dessert, every single day, for her entire life. She never skips 😀🥹
@Miazolam@gracebiggsmd I agree that it is safer for patients and better for us not to work 24+ hour shifts, but if the whole system doesn’t change then it ultimately isn’t safer if you will be working that and more as an attending and you did not do that in your training.
@Dallas_Holladay I’m always happy to help take care of pets anytime I can. Personally I’m also grateful to my neighbors who help take care of my sick dog who needs fed 6 times a day so I can go to work and operate for long hours.
@mowwyjane I remember my navigation losing service on my way to my interview dinner in Morgantown. I’m from southeastern Ohio, but I wasn’t prepared for that 😂 Nice of you to help them out
Its funny how surgeons say stuff like this, but never "If you don't know how to manage the post op MI you shouldn't be doing surgery!" 😂 I have complications that I need help with. Who doesn't? Recognizing problems early and working collaboratively is the new way to show swagger
@miguel_reyesMD I-Pump app is good for new ecmo consults, determining if you will be able to achieve adequate flows etc. I don’t know if any easy/quick resource for management of settings, if you find one let me know
