I also don’t doubt that she’s earned it, but the requirements are there for a reason. Why doesn’t this happen to every streamer then?
“Oh I just don’t have the 5 hours can I get affiliate anyways?”
But no, everyone else has to satisfy all the requirements. Just not streamers who know the right people.
I never claimed to know her but she bypassed the REQUIREMENTS that every other streamer is expected to get. 5 hours or not. She hadn’t met them. I don’t need to know her to know that. So, no one should need the 5 hours. Clearly it’s not a big deal. I’m saying it’s hypocritical when big streamers tell everyone else to earn it but this happens and now we’re the bad guys for wondering why.
So you’re okay with it because it happened to you. My best friend is partnered on Kick, should I get affiliate right away because of that? Its hypocritical. You tell streamers they should work for it, but now it’s okay when someone doesn’t earn it because it happened to her? Got it 👌
Get rid of the trips based on sound, they’re too easy to get by. Basically useless. People walk too much in the game already, some probably don’t even know they went by them 😂
Motion / Sight based traps. Quicker trigger on when they go off. 1.5-2 seconds at most. Like Cypher’s tripwires. Able to recall them.
Put a timer on her wall to be able to redeploy it. Reduce the health slightly since it’s redeployable. Block enemy abilities (but not bullets) from passing through.
@SethWellbourne @violabun Just to clarify, Twitch takes care of the income tax portion? How does that work if we file as a sole proprietor? The income tax is already paid by Twitch? First year that I’m filing an income from Twitch so all this is good to know.
Viewership numbers don’t support that Twitch is “dead in the water”. You can get all the streamers in the world to switch, but if the viewers don’t go, the platform won’t last. There’s just over 100K viewers on Kick while there’s 2.8 million on Twitch. If you’re switching, you have to take that into account long-term.
@Gretzy_ @EposVox I haven’t used it myself but I’ve seen reviews about it. Harris Heller did a good review. Gave it a really good look and said the capture was surprisingly really good.
@Gretzy_ @EposVox If your main goal is dual PC, look at the Rode Streamer X. It’s very seamless for Dual PC. No extra audio lines. Just two USB-C, one to each computer and it simply works.
Congratulations to the streamers who made it into @kick Phase 3. Please continue to break the barrier and be a good example not only for the platform, but for streamers in general. Don't alienate people based on their choice of platform. Continue to encourage others. You're in a position to bring positive change to the entire space.
@DerpingtonsHere @AllieHollyS Doesn't that cheat Twitch out of advertising revenue though? Can't support a streamer if the platform goes out of business from everyone not watching the ads. Ads is probably their main form of revenue.
https://t.co/qVWC04IibO is free. You can link two platforms to it under the free option. It does not take additional resources for your computer as Restream does the heavy lifting.
The only downside is that Twitch doesn't allow you to integrate 3rd party features (chats/alerts) unless you're feeling brave and don't care about the rules. So you can only display your Twitch chat/alerts while live. You can keep track of YT chat on another screen but it can't be shown on your stream.
It honestly depends on what you're trying to do with your content. I'd stream to YouTube and Twitch if it were me. If you're creating content on YT, that's a no brainer. Lives + short/long form content will help grow your YT.
Anti-cheat software is a double edged sword because people want to be protected, but if an anti-cheat becomes too invasive the same people will complain. I don’t envy their jobs. Valorant’s AC is essentially a rootkit and a lot of people have a problem with that. It can’t be as in-depth as it needs to be because then people will complain about privacy issues.
