The Fritz Lab is hiring! Looking for a postdoc project lead to investigate the role of structural variants in evolution on short time scales. Please circulate!
Yesterday I was shocked to wake up to my hometown all over Twitter! Never did I ever expect #BerlinNH to make national political news. Especially not in the way they did. Feels like big and weighty things are happening at home!
Unfortunately I’m not at #EntSoc23 this year… but I am looking for a #remote#postdoc or similar for a US citizen living in the #EU; Vector borne disease, spatial and ecological analysis, remote sensing, sci-com. Happy to talk more! DMs open. 🦟🦟
And people wonder why we can’t wait to settle near home someday… look at the views! Anyway… I’ve landed in #Germany! Looking for #remote#medent#STEMEd or #Biology opportunities or local to Kaiserslautern region. Happy to talk more offline. Please share with your networks!
Thrilled to have this paper out and freely available! This work was a major component of my dissertation and we have some really interesting findings. Thanks to @MosquitoDoc, Fritz lab, and 5 awesome undergrads for huge contributions. @UMDEntomology
End of an era. We officially sold our first home and are headed to our next adventure. The photo is rough and about 6 weeks old… but the last moments of us there together. The weeks since have been utter chaos. Goodbye and thank you Maryland! It’s been a ride.
Has anyone done an #OCONUS#PCS? Can we move pantry staples (like oils, vinegars, spices) or should I be planning a spice draft for all my friends? Same for liquor???
@OsmosisReads Yes- but I did not get awarded one, and one of my reviews mentioned that I didn’t have an acceptance yet. (Other negative reviews too of course). As someone holding a masters, I wasn’t eligke to apply again or after starting a PhD. 🤷🏻♀️
🎉It is with great enthusiasm we share that Todd Waters received the Board of Regents’ Staff Award for his Extraordinary Public Service to the Univ. & Greater Community. Follow the scorpions to read about Todd's immensely positive contributions to MD🦂🦂🦂https://t.co/RhQmWhZbmq
Congratulations on these so well-deserved promotions for twoawesome scientists and mentors! Thrilled and grateful that I had the opportunity to work closely with both during my time at UMD! Especially excited for my PhD advisor @MosquitoDoc 😁🥳
🎉Kudos on the promotion @MosquitoDoc and @GrunerDaniel! We are very proud to have such incredibly gifted and dedicated scientists working w/ @UMDEntomology.
@clhubes I swear my 3 year old can read because she remembers everything she’s only seen once including the titles of books we get from the library after one read. I’m always wracking my brain to follow her stories with obscure memories
Eavesdropping on hubs telling totally made up stream of consciousness bedtime stories is fantastic. Wavering between giggling at and being totally annoyed by 3’s request for additional (very silly) parts. Just fall asleep kid! #momademia
